MR & MRS BUCKLEY ✨

Laura and Tom celebrated their wedding day at the beautiful Gate Street Barn on Friday.

It was a lovely spring day with a chill in the air. The venue was looking gorgeous with flowers, wisteria and blossom trees all in bloom. There were so many opportunities for some amazing portraits, and of course we made the most of it!

Their celebrant-led ceremony from the wonderful @sarahclarkecelebrates set the tone for a day which included so many personal touches. From the fond memories shared in anecdotes during their ceremony, to the heartfelt poem from Laura’s maid of honour, every part of Laura and Tom’s day felt so sincere.

A special mention has to be made for Finn, their beloved cocker spaniel. Although not permitted to be there on the day (as a fellow naughty spaniel owner - I completely understand this decision! 🤣), Finn made his presence known at the bar. Swipe to see for yourself ➡️

After dark we ventured outside for some with fun with a champagne spray, and Laura even performed a song with her bridesmaids after the first dance - incredible!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ⬇️

Even the most confident of public speakers usually find the idea of standing up in front of a room of your nearest and dearest pretty nerve-wracking. If you can, I strongly recommend doing the speeches before the wedding breakfast is served.

Trust me when I say that those speaking will thank you for it! They’ll be able to sit back and enjoy the meal along with everyone else, rather than worrying about what’s to come.

Doing them before dinner also means that crockery and glassware are clean, table décor hasn’t been moved around too much and there are no marks on the tablecloths. A much more desirable aesthetic for your photos than dirty plates and wine stains!

Tag the people who will be speaking at your wedding - they NEED to know this stuff ⬇️ and hit SAVE to remember these for your wedding day.

Introducing Mr & Mrs Hearne! Where on earth do I start?! Yesterday was just magical.

The sun shone at Syrencot for Laura and Jack as they said yes to forever.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They really made the most of their beautiful spring wedding day. The celebrated their drinks reception with cocktails outside in the sunshine and we even got a glorious sunset which we of course made the most of with some golden hour photos.

After dark we snuck away one last time for some relaxed, fun flash portraits. Such a vibe! 📸

From the elegant neutral and green styling, to the stylish black bridesmaids dresses, every detail had been planned to perfection. They’d chosen to include so may thoughtful and personal touches, and it all came together so perfectly.

Is it to love their editing style or to make sure they’re at the right price point for you? Nope 🙅🏻‍♀️ Of course both are important but ultimately there will be several photographers who tick these boxes for you.

My NUMBER ONE tip is to choose a photographer who puts you totally at ease! If you’re feeling awkward with your photographer, it will show in your photos and there’s no way you’ll get the images you’re dreaming of.

The sun shone and the pink blossom was out in full force 🌸 We were even lucky enough to get a few moments of golden light at sunset (thank you for trusting me and running to the best spot when I said ‘it’s now or never!’ 😅 we made it just in time before it disappeared back behind the clouds).
