Wedding Photography at Silchester Farm, near Basingstoke
As a Basingstoke-based wedding photographer, Silchester Farm is a wedding venue that I just adore! Established only last year, Silchester Farm is situated in the historic village of Silchester. That’s right in the heart of the North Hampshire countryside – and conveniently just a 10-minute drive from Basingstoke.
I fell in love with Silchester Farm the first time I saw it. Surrounded by lush green landscapes and rolling hills, the farm has a contemporary yet authentically rustic feel that is really quite special. Wild meadows combined with landscaped gardens, original farm buildings but with beautifully modern interiors. This wedding venue really is a photographer’s dream!
Bridal inspiration at Silchester
So, of course, when Little London Brides asked if I wanted to collaborate at Silchester Farm, I jumped at the chance to head back to the venue! Little London Brides is a beautiful bridal boutique on the outskirts of Basingstoke, owned by mother and daughter team, Steph and Shan. They offer brides across Hampshire and beyond the most beautiful selection of wedding gowns and accessories.
I first met Steph and Shan in 2019 when they helped me find my own dream wedding dress! A sparkly, low back Enzoani gown. Thanks to COVID I’ve not had the chance to wear it yet so I’m keeping the rest of the details to myself – for now! Over the course of the rollercoaster that has been the last couple of years, I’ve become friends with the dream team from Little London Brides. I couldn’t wait to photograph and showcase some of their showstopping gowns.
Summer wedding photography at Silchester Farm
We got together on a warm July afternoon at Silchester Farm. We were fortunate to have free rein of the venue, and oh boy did we make the most of it! The modern cocktail bar in the spectacular Cow Shed. The rustic, character-filled Threshing Barn. The serene lake adorned with waterlilies and willows. We really did explore all of the delights that Silchester Farm has to offer.
