A stylish black tie wedding at Syrencot House
When Laura and Jack first asked me to capture their big day, as a Syrencot wedding photographer I was over the moon! They shared with me their vision for a stylish, luxury wedding with the ladies in black bridesmaid dresses and the gents in black tie suits. What a vibe! Of course I couldn’t wait!
When the April wedding day finally arrived it absolutely didn’t disappoint. With elegant, timeless florals and romantic details throughout their décor, their day was everything they’d hoped it would be.
Set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, I’m fortunate that Syrencot House is just a short 30-minute drive from my home in Basingstoke. It’s a venue that I adore working at. Syrencot is so romantic, scenic and versatile. With its endless beauty spots and picturesque setting, we were undoubtedly spoiled for choice for photo spots.
A sunshine-soaked Spring Wiltshire wedding
The sun shone at Syrencot for Laura and Jack as they said yes to forever. Although the preceding days had been chilly, the weather was on their side and guests enjoyed the warm, spring sunshine as they relaxed outside during the afternoon.
Laura and Jack really made the most of their beautiful spring wedding day. The celebrated their drinks reception with cocktails outside in the sunshine. We even got a glorious sunset which we of course made the most of with some golden hour photos.
Editorial wedding photography at Syrencot
After dark we snuck away one last time to capture some relaxed, fun flash portraits. These photos really give an editorial wedding photography style – Laura and Jack wouldn’t look out of place in the pages of Vogue!
From the elegant neutral and green styling, to the stylish black bridesmaids dresses, every detail of their Syrencot wedding day had been planned to perfection. They’d chosen to include so may thoughtful and personal touches, and it all came together so perfectly.
Congratulations again you beautiful pair. I’m so over the moon for you both. It was an honour to capture your special day.

TIMELESS AND CLASSIC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I describe my work as elegant, romantic and enchanting. I create beautiful wedding photos that look like they’re straight out of a magazine, but I use a relaxed and gentle approach to achieve them. No awkward poses or forced smiles here – just natural prompts, real laughter and you two being you. And yes – it’s absolutely possible to achieve a balance of editorial flair and natural romance in your images. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.
I love to use natural light to create flattering skin tones and a subtle colour palette in my edit. You won’t find any overly harsh edits or editing ‘trends’ in my work – for example being very dark and moody or very warm. This is because I believe wedding photography should be timeless and elegant. My images stand the test of time and will never date.
