A spring wedding at Gate Street Barn, Bramley
As a Gate Street Barn wedding photographer, I was so excited to capture Laura and Tom’s big day. By the time their wedding came around, it was safe to say that everyone was so ready for Spring to actually arrive! And oh boy didn’t it just?! It was a lovely day with a chill in the air. The venue was looking gorgeous with flowers, wisteria and blossom trees all in bloom. There were so many opportunities for some amazing portraits, and of course we made the most of it!
The couple wanted a relaxed and fun wedding day. They delivered! Their celebrant-led ceremony set the tone for a day which included so many personal touches. From the fond memories shared in anecdotes during their ceremony, to the personal vows they exchanged, every part of Laura and Tom’s day felt so sincere.
A personal celebrant-led ceremony
After the rings were exchanged, Laura and Tom left the barn into a storm of confetti and applause from their guests. They then spent the afternoon relaxing with their guests. We took some time to stroll around the gardens of Gate Street Barn to capture some beautiful timeless springtime wedding photos.
The speeches were heartfelt and emotional. Laura’s maid of honour even crafted a poem to honour her bestie! I love that I am seeing more and more women take the mic – let’s hear it for the girls!
A fun, relaxed wedding day
A special mention has to be made for Finn, their beloved cocker spaniel. Although not permitted to be there on the day (as a fellow naughty spaniel owner – I completely understand this decision! 🤣), Finn made his presence known at the bar.
After dark we ventured outside for some with fun with a champagne spray, and Laura even performed a song with her bridesmaids after the first dance – incredible!
Laura and Tom, I’m so glad you got the amazing wedding day you so deserve! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day.
