Ardington House Wedding – Tamsyn & Marc

Elegant and romantic wedding photography at Ardington House, Oxfordshire

Tamsyn and Marc’s Ardington House wedding was a day that I was so excited for. During our planning period the couple described how they had planned a relaxed and elegant celebration, with personal touches throughout. I couldn’t wait!

When the wedding day rolled around, the British summertime weather was out in full force with a variable forecast that could throw just about anything our way. Luckily for us though, the morning downpours that accompanied bridal prep dried up just in time for their wonderful outdoor ceremony at Ardington House’s wedding dome. The ceremony space was beautiful decorated with colourful summertime florals. It was a perfect accompaniment to the riverside setting.

Tamsyn and her bridal party enjoyed a relaxed morning on the first floor of Ardington House, whilst the gents took a stroll to the local village pub – a perfect start to the wedding day.

The bride wore Vera Wang

I can’t write this article without a special mention about Tamsyn’s outfit. Not only did she choose the most incredible Vera Wang wedding gown, but she coupled it with striking dark accessories. Tammy wore black elbow length gloves, a black manicure and a deep purple bouquet. She even had Black Opium perfume to fit the theme! It really was a bridal look that I’d never seen before – and I loved it! She looked so stylish and editorial – straight out of the pages of a magazine! It’s so important that brides don’t lose their own style in the excitement of wedding planning. Tammy understood this perfectly.

The stylish wedding theme continued throughout. The groomsmen and bridesmaids wore complementary colours, and Marc, the groom, of course stood out in his individually tailored suit.

A touch of Swiss culture

With an English bride and a Swiss groom, there was always going to be a rich mixture of cultures at their wedding. Some of the Swiss touches included a decorative wooden cow (Bella!), flower-filled bicycle and a raclette as the evening food. Delicious!

As the evening progressed it was clear that it was going to be a fun one! The dancefloor was full the whole time. Tamsyn’s father even brought his old bandmates on stage for a few songs – a moment that was clearly so meaningful to the newlyweds.

My coverage ended with the bride and groom being thrown in the air by their bridal party! It summed up what was such a happy, fun and love-filled wedding day. I adored every second.

Tammy and Marc, thank you so much for trusting me to capture you day. It was a pleasure and I wish you all the love in the world.
