Clock Barn Wedding Photographer – Melissa & Ben

Wedding Photography at Clock Barn

When Melissa and Ben asked me to capture their big day at one of my favourite Hampshire wedding venues, as a Clock Barn wedding photographer I jumped at the opportunity!

The Clock Barn in Whitchurch, Hampshire, is the sister venue to my own wedding venue. The couple also chose to marry on the second weekend of September – the same weekend as my own anniversary. So needless to say, this wedding was one that I had really been looking forward to. And of course it was every bit as wonderful as I’d hoped!

Bridal Prep at Clock Barn

On the wedding morning I met Melissa in The Stables where she was getting ready with her Mum and bridesmaids. The bridal party enjoyed a relaxed morning together. They sipped champagne and exchanged gifts, meanwhile taking turns in the hair and make-up chair.

As a surprise for his bride, Ben had given Melissa a wedding gift – a stunning Cartier LOVE ring. The gift was quickly followed by a cheeky card. It was a moment that perfectly set the tone for their day – elegant, thoughtful and personal. With bundles of fun thrown in of course!

The couple included many attentive touches in their day. From FaceTiming loved ones during the ceremony to table names honouring absent relatives. The bride also carried her Mother’s and Mother-in-Law’s wedding rings in the pocket of her Dando gown down the aisle. A truly special gesture.

September Wedding Photography at Clock Barn

The vibe of Melissa and Ben’s wedding was rustic but modern. The couple combined neutral florals with emerald green accents. A theme which perfectly complimented their September Clock Barn wedding.

Clock Barn itself has an inescapable romance that fills the fairy-light adorned setting. The flower-filled gardens perfectly compliment the beautiful Hampshire landscape. They provided a perfect setting for the couple’s portraits.

A saxophonist played as guests cheersed and clinked glasses during the afternoon drinks’ reception. The wedding breakfast saw uncontrollable laughter during the best man’s speech. The evening subsequently played host to a party of pre-COVID proportions. The bride and groom were surrounded on the dancefloor by their nearest and dearest. Everyone having the time of their lives!

All in all, I felt truly honoured to play a small role in such an amazing day. I wish Melissa and Ben all the best for a long and happy marriage together.
