Image Usage for Suppliers

Hi lovely wedding supplier!

I’m so glad that you love my images and you’d like to use them to promote your business! I totally understand that high quality images are really important to attract future clients, and I’m all for wedding industry peers empowering each other. For these reasons I’m always very happy for suppliers to use my images and I offer a free option which covers the most common uses. You’ll find all the information you need on this page but if you’ve got any questions please do get in touch.

Free Image Usage

I’m happy to supply images free of charge for social media, blogs and your website, as long as you provide a linked credit using the details below:

· Websites/blogs: www.chloecaldwell.co.uk

· Instagram: @chloecaldwellphotography (credit in the main body of the caption, not just as tags on the photo or as a comment as these are easily missed)

· Facebook:

For the avoidance of doubt, please see an example of a linked credit as it might appear on a website here.

Paid image usage

If you’d like to use the images in printed materials or advertising, or if you want to use the images online without having to credit me as the photographer, the cost is £50 per image.

This fee is waived for venues where I’m a recommended supplier but a linked or printed credit is still required. If you’d like to have a chat about collaborating on this basis let me know.

For any usage purpose not covered above please get in touch and let’s have a chat.

Rules for Image Usage

Under all circumstances (both free and paid) all images are subject to strict usage rules, listed below:

· UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER are images of children permitted to be used, downloaded or shared. This includes any image which includes a child (any person under the age of 18), including group shots. If you are not sure that every person in an image is over 18, do not download the image.

· Images must not be altered in any way. No editing, filters, converting to black and white, cropping (other than to accommodate Instagram’s image ratios), etc.

· Screenshotting images and using them without permission, even if credited, isn’t cool (and is actually illegal).

· On the subject of screenshotting, please don’t do it, even if I’ve given you permission to use the images. To protect the quality of my work, only images downloaded from the gallery may be used.

· Couples must have agreed to you using their images, so please make sure you’ve got permission from them first. By logging into their gallery you are confirming that consent has been obtained.

A note on copyright

I retain the copyright of all my images. My couples are given a personal usage license which doesn’t extend to commercial use. This means that if you’d like to use my images you need to have my permission. When I give you permission to use my images, both free and paid, I still retain the copyright.

Blog / publication / feature submissions

Planning to submit the images for publication? That’s great! I will almost always be very happy for you to do so but I ask that you please let me know in advance of submitting to avoid possible clashes with any other submissions. Many blogs/publications have rules around exclusivity.

Obtaining Images

Images cannot be released to suppliers before they are delivered to the couple. My turnaround time is typically around 8 weeks after the wedding, but this may be longer during peak season. My priority is always my clients and editing, so please don’t be offended if I take a little longer to come back to you during this time.

Thank you

…so much for respecting the above guidelines. If you have any questions or would like to gain access to a gallery please do get in touch. I’d be happy to hear from you.
