Wedding Photography at The Post Barn, Newbury
As a Basingstoke-based wedding photographer, The Post Barn is a wedding venue that jumped on to my radar recently. Built only last year in July 2021, the new wedding venue has a modern yet authentically rustic feel that is really special. Landscaped gardens are surrounded by rolling golf courses make for a beautifully picturesque setting. What’s more, it’s located just 20 minutes from me in the Berkshire town of Newbury!
A relaxed wedding morning at the Post Barn
When Kayleigh and Jack asked me to capture their big day at the Post Barn, I was excited to head to the new venue for the first time. I met Kayleigh during the wedding morning at The Post Barn’s getting ready room where she was preparing for the big day ahead with her bridal party. The ladies were happily sipping prosecco and enjoying the build-up.
A sunny winter wedding
The early November wedding day brought weather that most winter wedding couples dream of! It was chilly but bright and the sun shone over the roof of the barn as the couple made their confetti exit. We were even treated to a later afternoon golden hour – a rare luxury in the winter months! We took a stroll around the grounds of the Post Barn to create some beautifully romantic couple’s portraits.
As the sun set the couple welcomed their guests into the modern barn for speeches, the wedding breakfast and a night full of dancing. The whole day was full of so much love and was truly a pleasure to be a part of.
Kayleigh and Jack’s day was without a doubt one that I’ll fondly look back on for a very long time. I wish you both all the love in the world.
As for the Post Barn, I can’t wait to head back to this wonderful venue very soon. It’s on my doorstep so I’m sure it won’t be long!
