This was my first time as a Davenport House wedding photographer and it certainly didn’t disappoint! With romantic and elegant styling, colourful florals and fun vibes throughout, Laura and Hector really planned the day to perfection!
Davenport House in Shropshire is a truly breathtaking wedding venue. As a photographer who specialises in romantic, editorial and stylish wedding photography, working at Davenport House is undoubtedly a dream.
From the moment I arrived, the wedding day atmosphere was so full of excitement. Guests had travelled from across the globe to be there, and the energy was joyful, warm and full of anticipation.
An outdoor ceremony at Davenport House
Set against the rolling Shropshire Hills, Davenport House offered the perfect backdrop Laura and Hector’s outdoor ceremony. The views are unrivalled and they really create the most stunning photo backdrop – take a look for yourself!
Laura and Hector said “I do” in a romantic outdoor ceremony under clear blue skies and summer sunshine. The Georgian elegance of Davenport House stood proudly behind them. It felt like a quintessential English summer’s wedding full of elegance, style and beauty.
When it came to their wedding day styling Laura and Hector chose a timelessly romantic look. Their florals were bursting with colour, personality and elegance — even the famous Davenport cows seemed to approve!

As an editorial wedding photographer, I always aim to capture the beauty in the in-between moments. The glances, the laughter the energy in the room. The emotional and heartfelt speeches had all of that in abundance. The images reflect not only the visual beauty of the day, but the atmosphere in the room. What a privilege to capture these moments.
A special mention should also be made to the incredible venue team at Davenport House. They go above and beyond to ensure the couple and guests have the most incredible experience (and they look after fellow suppliers too which is so appreciated!). I have no hesitation in returning to this incredible venue – very soon I hope!
