Bingham Riverhouse Wedding with an elegant Orleans House Gallery ceremony
As a Bingham Riverhouse wedding photographer, I love returning to this gorgeous Richmond venue. When Helen and Bobby asked me to capture their London wedding day here, of course I was delighted. It was a perfect day on the river Thames.
The couple wanted a relaxed, intimate feel for their day, surrounded by only their nearest and dearest. Whilst the early September day brought a variable weather forecast, there was a buzz of excitement in the air and the early morning showers certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.
Bringing American wedding traditions to Richmond
By the time the end of morning preparations approached, the weather had cleared and it was a beautifully overcast and warm September day. Being from the USA, the couple chose to include a first look into their timeline. It’s a typically American tradition where they spend a few special moments together before the ceremony.
They chose to exchange vows in a ceremony just down the river at Orleans House Gallery. The iconic Octagon Room provided an impressive setting with its famous Baroque white, gold and blue decor.
Cruising down the London Thames by riverboat
Being American, many of the couple’s guests joined them from overseas. What better way to show off the beautiful Richmond scenery than by taking a riverboat down the Thames back to Bingham Riverhouse.
Bingham Riverhouse was undoubtedly the perfect setting for their relaxed reception. Elegantly styled with romantic florals and with an intricate cake design of dreams, it was the most beautiful setting. We of course took the opportunity to head out onto the tow path on the river’s edge to capture some beautiful wedding portraits.
The couple shared a relaxed evening with their guests at the London riverside wedding venue. Speeches were so heartfelt and personal, and toasting marshmallows over the fire pits went down a treat!
