Basingstoke engagement photographer: Dancing & Daffodils

Engagement photographer in Basingstoke, Hampshire

After what seemed like a very long lockdown and an even longer winter, Spring has finally sprung! My passion as a Basingstoke wedding and engagement photographer had been in hibernation since December due to the restrictions, so it goes without saying that I was SO ready to get back shooting again!

Worth the wait

The very top of my list was Dani and Tom’s long awaited engagement shoot. We initially scheduled it for way back in December, but as with most things, COVID put the brakes on it for a few months. Oh boy was it worth the wait though!

Countryside engagement shoot in Basingstoke

Dani and Tom desired a countryside feel to their engagement photos. If there’s one thing that Basingstoke delivers, it’s an abundance of beautiful surrounding countryside! We met in the small village of Farleigh Wallop. It’s a picturesque setting which gifted us all the delights of Spring: blooming daffodils, budding blossom trees and green rolling hills.

In what turned out to be one of the coldest Aprils on record, Dani and Tom managed to pick one of the few days with sunny, blue skies (even if it was still pretty chilly!). We made the most of it as they strolled through the countryside and danced among the daffodils (check out those moves…these two definitely don’t need any first dance practice!).

I was in my element capturing their perfectly relaxed portraits, and I just felt so happy that we were finally able to get together for their shoot.

Dani and Tom are looking forward to their destination wedding, taking place in Jamaica in 2022. I wish them all the luck in the world for their happily ever after.

Love Chloë

As a Basingstoke wedding and engagement photographer, I love to capture all of your special moments.
